MUSIC AS AN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY

INICIATION MUSIC PROGRAM FOR NURSERY AND RECEPCION (ages 3 to 5)

Children will have the opportunity to get to know musical notes, develop hearing through singing and auditions. They can improve their psychomotor skills through body rhythm and dancing. They will also be introduced to some of the main composers and different instruments (how they are, how they sound, how they are played).  More specifically, they can begin learning the piano.

A very complete program that makes children learn while having fun.

Groups from three to eight children in 45 to 60 minutes´ sessions.

Possibility of private piano lessons (20 to 30 minutes´ sessions)

MUSICAL PROGRAM FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Musical instrument classes either privately or in a group (máx. 4 students).

Introduction to music and to the instrument (reading and writing music, rhythm, intonation, etc.).  Progress and support to children with who already have musical knowledge.

Both proposals supplemented by a wide number of music-related activities to improve and expand knowledge through rhythm games, auditions, dancing, etc.

Sessions will have duration of 30 minutes for private lessons and 60 minutes for groups.

MUSICAL PROGRAM FOR SECUNDARY STUDENTS

Musical instrument classes either privately or in a group (máx. 4 students).

Introduction to music: writing and reading music; harmony; interpretation of scores according to the style and era of the composer; rhythm; hearing education, etc.

A complete and personalized program prepared according to the needs of each age and musical levels of students.

They also can learn digital editing scores.

Individual sessions will have duration of 30-60 minutes, and group sessions 60 minutes.

INSTRUMENTAL OFFER

Children younger than eight years old will begin playing the Piano as the only instrumental option (due to the more technical and difficult introduction of other instruments). The piano/s will be provided by the school, using the ones that they have already into music rooms or similar.

The remainder of the students may choose the instrument of their choice (it would need to be provided by themselves). There would be a minimum requirement of 6 students for private sessions or 3 group sessions in order to make possible each instrumental offer (with the exception of Guitar or Piano, which specialties have no minimum no. of students).

LESSONS DEVELOPMENT

As lessons are normally once a week, there is the possibility of them being taught individually during the school hours or after school.

LESSONS INTO SCHOOL HOURS

(Recommend for primary students)

Students are taken from their school lessons for half an hour or an hour per week into a rotating schedule in order for it to not always fall during the same lesson. These timetables are flexible in the event of school trips, exams or any other occasional activity that could interfere in the usual setup of lessons (notice provided by the school).

Our experience has shown that these kinds of lessons usually work well both with students and parents.

LESSONS OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS

Lessons are taught outside of the usual school hours; either after school or during playtime after lunch.
