Who We Are

Marbella Music School is a young music school offering classes for all ages.

Marbella Music School Academy was founded out of the passion and enthusiasm for music and its teaching that our director has had since she was a child. Our main goal is to bring the wonderful world of music to children and adults of all ages because it’s never too early or too late to learn music and discover the benefits and satisfaction that come with playing an instrument. That’s why we offer Early Music Education classes in Marbella starting at 2.5 years old, with no age limit for other specializations.

Our school offers music courses in Marbella, tailored for each age and student need, using engaging and individualized methods that make our lessons a unique learning experience.

Marta Lozano

Director, Piano and Early Music Education Teacher

Born in Madrid, I learned my first piano songs in a family setting at the age of 4. At 7, I began studying piano at the Fama music academy in Madrid, where, years later, they prepared me to enter the “Teresa Berganza” Professional Conservatory of Music, where I obtained my intermediate piano degree.

Born in Madrid, I learnt my first songs on the piano in a family environment at the age of 4. At the age of 7 I began to study piano at the Fama music academy in Madrid, where years later I was prepared to enter the ‘Teresa Berganza’ Professional Conservatory of Music and obtain my intermediate piano degree.

During those years I worked in Madrid giving private and extracurricular classes in some prestigious schools such as the Sagrado Corazón under the direction of Sidney D’Agvilo.
Tired of my hometown, I entered the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Rafael Orozco’ in Córdoba, where I graduated in Piano and fell in love with Andalusia, from where I have never left.
Finally I came to Marbella, Malaga, working in different music academies on the Costa del Sol and as a music teacher at the British School of Marbella for several years.

After a long career as a teacher focused on music, and thanks to the support of students and families satisfied with my teaching, I managed to realise my dream by founding the Marbella Music School in January 2013.

Today I continue to train and research mainly in new teaching methodologies and I enjoy every single class I teach as much as the first day.

I love walking, dancing, travelling, listening to all kinds of music, long chats with my friends and above all enjoying my family inside and outside the house.

GLORIA GUERREIRO

Reception, Secretariat

Born in Valencia but with mixed Peruvian and Spanish heritage, my passion for music began in my childhood.

Born in Valencia but with mixed Peruvian and Spanish blood, my passion for music comes from my childhood.

My mother, an inveterate reader, always enjoyed her books while listening to classical music, traditional Peruvian music, chanson française, boleros… I also consider myself lucky to have lived through the 80s and its urban tribes to the full, not only for the enormous fun they brought, but also for the cultural and, above all, musical experience they meant for many of us, young people at the time.

I have always lived surrounded by music and musicians, so working at Marbella Music School, contributing my knowledge and training in administration and Public Relations to the teamwork that characterises this academy, as well as the personal and familiar treatment with our students and their families, makes me feel that I have found my place.

YAIZA SANTANA

Head of Studies, Piano and Early Music Education Teacher

I am Yaiza, a teacher at Marbella Music School. I was born in this beautiful city in 1988 and have been surrounded by musician family members since childhood, which sparked my interest in discovering the world of music through the piano.

I am Yaiza, a teacher at Marbella Music School. I was born in this beautiful city in 1988 and since I was a child I was surrounded by musical relatives, which is why I was interested in discovering the world of music through the piano, at first through private lessons and later at the Elementary Conservatory of Marbella. As there was no professional conservatory, I continued my education in a free way, receiving master classes from different teachers, until I decided to take the path of teaching (Diploma in Musical Education, Degree in Primary Education with mention in PT), I wanted to bring the world of music to anyone in an easy and simple way. Since my first year of my degree, I have been very interested in the relationship between the brain and music, the neuronal connections, what it awakens and activates, which is why my latest studies are linked to neuropsychology through education. Currently I continue to train in music pedagogy so that each class and each student is and feels special.

Great lover of different musical styles where a little rocker hides inside me who loves fantasy readings, board games, everything that has to do with Asian food; a good geek who loves to remember Dragonball, Oliver and Benji, Sailor moon, Sakura Captor… and I am from the Gryffindor house.

CARMEN KRAUS

Violin Teacher

I am Carmen Kraus, born in Ávila in 1984. Since I was little, I loved singing Mecano songs with my older sisters while they played the piano. It was thanks to them that I began my studies at the Fuengirola Conservatory.

My name is Carmen Kraus, I was born in Avila in 1984, since I was a child I loved singing Mecano songs with my older sisters while they played the piano and it was thanks to them that I started my studies at the Conservatory of Fuengirola at the age of 8 when destiny made me attend a presentation of stringed instruments and I fell in love with the violin and the viola and music in general. So I chose to continue my professional music studies in Malaga city.

I have been part of groups and orchestras of almost all musical styles, from classical to rock, passing through Celtic, flamenco, tango and even punk with which I recorded some albums.

I also participated in several tours around Europe and Morocco with the Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra, the University Symphony and Chamber Orchestra and the Ilya Musin Orchestra of Madrid while continuing my education at the University of Malaga, finishing my studies with an A in Music Teaching.

In the last few years I have taken courses more focused on pedagogy, as I have dedicated myself more to teaching as a violin teacher, although without ever leaving aside performance, forming part of a group where, together with guitar and percussion, we compose our own songs, as well as collaborating with other musical groups.

In this way I continue my path in music as well as continuing to learn the technique of other instruments such as the piano.

ISMAEL PAREDES

Guitar Teacher

Since I was very young, I have always been connected to music. My family has a musical tradition, being a large family of 8 siblings, all of whom studied an instrument from childhood. It was through their studies at the conservatory that I decided to pursue formal training by joining several institutions.

Since I was very young I have always been linked to music. My family has always had a certain musical tradition, a large family of 8 siblings in which we all studied an instrument from an early age. Thanks to their studies at the conservatory, I decided to study at various institutions.

I went to the Weimar Academy in Madrid, studying piano and guitar. At the Creativa I took my first steps in harmony, composition and guitar. At 21 Century Music I got a professional guitarist diploma and several qualifications from the Rockschool, but that didn’t quite satisfy me and with the help of my modern guitar and jazz teacher I entered the Alfonso X University in Madrid to study a degree in music.

At the university, I got the scholarship to study it and being one of the best qualifications in my promotion I acquired this degree while learning from the hand of great musicians at national and international level, playing and learning with many of them, approaching the world of modern guitar, always linked to Jazz music, and working in several academies as a teacher.

Pamela Muñiz

Singing Teacher

I was born in Mexico, but my roots are Spanish. From a very young age, I was known in my neighborhood as “la cantaora” (the female singer), and there wasn’t a party, gathering, or school performance where I didn’t put on “my show.”

I am Mexican by birth but of Spanish origin.

From a very young age I was known in the neighbourhood as ‘la cantaora’, and there was no party or gathering, as well as presentations at school, that I didn’t do ‘my show’.

Following the example of my grandparents with whom I spent every afternoon, I was interested in all genres of music, including classical music such as opera, zarzuela, Lied and classical Mexican and Italian songs.

At the age of 15 I began studying at the Manuel Álvarez theatre school, which belonged to the National Actors Association (ANDA), where I was taught singing by the tenor Cesar Millán.

Later, in Mexico City, I studied acting at the Estadio de Artes Escénicas ESAES under the direction of Ricardo de Pascual. At the same time I took private singing lessons with the soprano Victoria Zúñiga, for which I entered the school number 4 of the Instituto Nacional de las Bellas Artes where we performed several operas and Zarzuelas with great success, such as the opera Hänsel and Gretel by Humperdinck, the Zarzuela Luisa Fernanda, etc.

At the same time he performed in important halls in Mexico City such as the Hermilo Novelo hall, Ollin Yoliztli, Xochipilli, etc., as well as participating in various television programmes.
In 2018 in Spain I sang for a season with the polyphonic choir of Getafe, Madrid, and in 2022 in the Ubi Caritas choir in Malaga.

In September 2024 I joined the teaching staff of Marbella Music School where I teach vocal technique and interpretation.
